Our stay at the Stunning 1-Bed Cottage Close To Lakedistrict was a great experience. The location in the pretty village was perfect for exploring the area. The cottage itself had a quirky charm and the lounge was cozy and warm. We appreciated the friendly welcome from the host and the good communication throughout our stay. we would recommend this cottage for a unique getaway.

The bathroom was a bit small, especially the shower area, and we noticed some mold on the tiles. The towels were a bit rough as well.

We loved the layout and quirkiness of the cottage, which used to be a former barn and is one of the oldest buildings in the village. The garden and outdoor seating area were lovely, and the glass extension/patio doors provided a warm and cozy atmosphere. The property had all the necessary amenities for a longer stay, including two large TVs, a washing machine, and a dishwasher. The owner was friendly and helpful, and there was good communication both before and during our stay. The village itself was clean and picturesque, with a pub within walking distance. The location was excellent for exploring Arnside and beyond.

    Felt fine, no complaints whatsoever.

The location of the cottage was excellent, situated in a pretty village and within easy reach of attractions in the Lake District. The layout and quirkiness of the property were unique and added to the charm of our stay. We especially enjoyed the lovely garden and outdoor seating area, perfect for relaxing. the friendly owner provided us with helpful information and made us feel welcome during our stay.

Although the shower was small and could be a squeeze for some, it was still functional. The towels provided were a bit rough and could benefit from being replaced.

I recently stayed at a stunning 1-bed cottage close to the Lake District and it exceeded all my expectations. The former barn, which is likely the second oldest building in the village, has been beautifully and sensitively converted into a quirky and spacious house. The lovely garden and outdoor seating area were perfect for enjoying the picturesque village and the nearby wood for a walk with my dog. The owners, Sue and Ian, provided a warm welcome and were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The communication with them prior to our arrival was excellent. The location was also ideal for exploring Arnside and the surrounding areas, with a village pub just a short walk away and shops within a 10-20 minute drive. the cottage was well-presented, clean, and had fantastic facilities, including large TVs. It was warm and cozy, making it a perfect home away from home.

Nothing to complain about at all. 😊

We chose this hotel as a halfway point on our drive to Scotland and because it was dog-friendly. However, it turned out to be so much more than that. The house itself was beautiful and quirky, with plenty of space. The village was lovely, with a great pub and a picturesque atmosphere. The hotel had a good garden and even a wood to walk in, which was perfect for our furry friend. Sue and Ian, the hosts, gave us a warm welcome and were extremely friendly and helpful throughout our stay. it exceeded our expectations and made for a wonderful stopover.

    Would recommend this hotel.

This mind-blowing and super quirky cottage halfway to Scotland was an absolute jaw-dropping find! Not only was it dog-friendly with a great garden and nearby woods for walks, but the warm welcome and helpful information from the friendly owners, Sue and Ian, made our stay extra special. The spotless cottage had a comfy bed, a fantastic mezzanine floor, and a charming lounge in what seemed like a converted garage. With its ideal location, great value for money, and all the amenities like Wi-Fi, off-site car park, electric kettle, cots. We will definitely return if we're in the area again!

The room was beautifully laid out and had a unique and quirky charm. The location was perfect for exploring the surrounding area, with a picturesque village and a welcoming pub just a short walk away. The staff were friendly, helpful, and always available to assist us during our stay.

Breakfast delights, but a greater variety of options would make it even better.

The layout and quirkiness of the property, a former barn, was delightful. The inclusion of a lovely garden and outdoor seating area added to the charm. The hosts were extremely friendly and helpful, providing good communication throughout our stay. The location was ideal for exploring the surrounding area, with a village pub just a few minutes' walk away. The property also had the convenience of a washing machine and dishwasher for longer stays.

Although dogs were allowed, the accommodation was not particularly dog-friendly. There were restrictions on where we could have our dogs, and the lack of doors or gates to keep them out of certain areas was not ideal.
